Hi Scott,

I agree with that writer's view of the Kerry speech. I liked when he quoted Lincoln's words about God, but felt Kerry's talk about his Viet Nam service was overdone.

Additionally, constant reminders of his efforts as a solider in Vietnam were overdone, but I understand the message consistency was designed to convince voters of his "strength".

That said, I understand that Kerry must make it clear that he's knowledgable about the military and not afraid to press it into service (pun!) when necessary.

All told, I thought the speech went very well.
