You would think a smart Yalie would finish at the top of his class [in Navy training classes] What exactly do you think intellectual propensity has to do with military training? Just curious. Whatever details you dig up, there is one big thing that overrides them all - One candidate dodged Vietnam and then didn't even show up to the easy task that was his charge. The other went to Vietnam and got a couple of medals.
