Vets who attack Kerry are dishonest, phony, partisan and have no choice but to lie or distort. Kerry's commanding officer gave him a superlative report for his heroism in Vietnam and credited him with 20+ enemy kills in 120 days. That means he personally killed more than one enemy per week. That also means enemy shot back at him a lot and he was lucky to get out of there alive. That shatters the rightwing charge that somehow Kerry sent into combat as some kind of photo op then skipped out on his crew mates. Also, 13 of his 15 surviving crewmates were onstage with him last night. So much for the rightwing claim that fellow soldiers did not think much of Kerry. Just lies.
