"yet he failed to take effective action...." Whooo-hah! What a pile of crap you are trying to peddle, Jake. You neglect to mention that he turned the evidence right over to the FAA... and that he tasked one of his staffers to follow-up with the FAA (they had a couple of sit-downs where the warning was discussed), and I believe other branches of the government were also copied in a timely manner. What the hell did you expect him to do, Jake? The guy was a Senator, not a security guard. (PS --- as far as after-the-fact, 'effective action'... I didn't see the President come out for federalizing the security screeners until LONG after the public raised a rukus about it. He didn't flip-flop on federalized screeners --- and the entire 9-11 Commission for that matter --- until the votes were counted and he knew he was going to lose anyway.)
