Ted, do you want the whole country to maneuver around your life style or mine for that matter? Looking at the Hollywood elite, as well as the filthy-rich liberals who can truly afford to "sacrifice more," I wonder just whose lifestyles this country has to maneuver around. The solution, of course, isn't an even more lopsided tax system, as AS once proposed (but will probably let go of now that his idol has drawn the line at $200K). The solution is more education and more economic opportunity for all so that more people can get a chance to become rich themselves. Level the playing field and stop dividing people based on their income. I'm even fine with a progressive tax system, but I'd prefer a system where they only tax every dollar you make above $50K or so, and only at a flat rate. (Or maybe one rate for all the money between $50K and $150K, and then another rate for all the money above $150K.) No divisions, just a smooth curve. Tenchusatsu
