JF, You seem to think you are suffering at $200K, but there are a lot of folks that may think you are pretty well off; they are making $70K and supporting 3-4 kids.

And there are those making $35K a year and supporting 5-6 kids. And so on, and so forth.

I know I don't have a sob story to post, but there will always be someone poorer than me. I think I ought to decide for myself how my "charitable contributions" should be paid out. Forcing me to be charitable through higher taxes isn't going to make me feel more charitable; in fact, it will make me feel less so. But I'm sure my "feelings" matter less to you than someone who has it worse than I do.
