The Edwards are not in touch with the common people. People who work hard and make a living celebrate birthdays and anniversaries of adults in ways other than going to Wendys. The Edwards have so much money, they claim they go to Wendys. This mocks the middle class American who aspires to go to a decent restaurant for a special occasion.
