What the terrorists advocate offers the people nothing. I have trouble believing that they are all nuts or stupid. They will figure it out in their own time and in their own way. With a little help from their friends. And the whole jihad thing will run out of steam. It could happen that way. Or not.


Figure it out? Why didn't the Germans figure it out before Hitler led them into WWII? One reason is that it's hard to figure it out when you only hear one side of the story. The Nazis used propaganda masterfully and the AQ crowd (with their moutpiece Al Jazeera) is not so bad at it either. You forget the 'wall of lies' that the Arabs have wrapped themselves in - a cocoon of conspiracy theories, where everything they suffer is the fault of the Imperialist-Zionist conspiracy. AQ & co plays right into that kind of thinking. And once you think like that, everything that happens confirms the conspiracy.
