Pakistan’s commitment despite the numerous attempts on the life of President Musharraf and now on Prime-Minister Designate Shaukat Aziz shows the commitment that Pakistan is altogether against terrorism”. Alam further said, “Pakistan and its people are leading ally in the war against terrorism. Its law enforcement and intelligence agencies have penetrated terrorist organizations and as a result several top al-Qaeda leaders and hundreds of their minions are in US custody which American and European agencies could not have done. Indeed, a direct result of Pakistan’s assistance."
