Mark, really. Kerry volunteered for Vietnam, spent a year on the Gridley in the Tonkin Gulf, then volunteered for Swift Boat duty. Swift Boats was one of the most dangerous places to be in Vietnam. If you want to get a feel for it, rent "Apocalyse Now". A Swift Boat takes Martin Sheen up the river to Kurtz. Those guys were like targets in a shooting gallery. veteransforkerry.home.att.net Now, compare him to Bush. Jumped over others more qualified to serve in a rich-boy champagne TANG unit that would NEVER be sent to Vietnam by his daddy's connections. Deserted, then had his daddy fix THAT. You guys continuing to harp on Kerry's service will ALWAYS make him look good and Bush look bad. It's a loser - so keep it up!
