Good gravy, what alternate universe does that letter writer live in?
Terrorism is on the rise (based on the 'corrected' report from the statement dept, after getting caught trying to lie). bin Laden is still not caught - almost three years after murdering nearly 3,000 people. Afghanistan is a mess; we've broken our promise to rebuild the nation (a second time, after Bush's idol Reagan and Daddy Bush broke our promise the first time). The Taliban is making a comeback, our puppet is limited to being 'The Mayor of Kabul', the heroin crop is record breaking, warlords rule the land, and after 24 years of continuous presence, Doctors Without Borders is bugging out because of the lack of security. The UN has humiliated the US, and we've gone groveling back to them for help. Most of the tax cut goes to the very rich, while the surplus is long gone, and we face trillions of dollars in future debt. Corporate thieves are alive and well, and actively contributing to their protectors, the Republican Party.
And since when does lying to the American public, covering up incompetence, torture, and deception, in any way restoring moral clarity to America?! I'd much rather have Clinton lie about his personal life than have Bush and his cronies lie about everything else.
