A very good post and point

he has little pursuit of truth

Unfortunately most Christians do not look any further than what they hear Sunday morning or on the popular Christian shows. And what they hear has become a deception and blinded the Church as a whole. I have talked to many Christians who will not think and hide behind the current "trend" in Christianity. They have no comprehension of the beast rising before their eyes. They refuse to see it. I used to be in that mind set myself decades ago. I would even say that my departure from the mainstream Christian thought has been similar to being deprogrammed after a cult experience. As you said in your post the Christian/politics blend. The political interpretation of Christianity and end times prophecy. The blind Christian devotion to the Republican Party just because candidates pay lip service to certain holy grail political issues. The Christian Coalition created by Pat Robertson after his Presidential run has consolidated the myth that Christianity and the Republican Party are linked to the same causes.

I could go on and on. But take a look at this thread.
