Rick,

Schwab called today about my e-mails. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with them running tests again before they located the problem. The reason they called today was because they finally realized that they had a serious problem. Somebody else started sending schwab's response to my e-mails back to them. It seems Schwab had been receiving my e-mails after all, but had been sending the responses to a stranger. It remains a mystery how my e-mail address got changed on both of my accounts. They were very apologetic. I wish they had listen to me last Monday. I was told the person who had been trying to solve the problem, really should have referred it to someone more knowledgable.

You can imagine how thrilled I was to find out that Schwab had been sending sensitive information on my accounts to a stranger!

After eight days, my margin balance and buying power is now correct on the web page. Schwab says they still don't understand why it wasn't updated at time of settlement.
