Re: bomb incidents. Picking a year at random, from the FBA Bomb Data Center annual report, "Two thousand two hundred and seventeen (2,217) bombing incidents were reported to the Bomb Data Center (BDC) in 1997 that is a 14% decrease over the previous year‘s reported bombings (2,573)."

Not that I dismiss the danger, just remembered reading similar statistics in the past and being astonished at the annual number of bombing incidents in the US.

Which is why I decided to just get on with my life. I am terrified of sharks but my favorite thing in the world is to swim in the ocean, so I just take precautions like not swimming at twilight or at night, not swimming when I have a bloody wound. Last year I actually saw a shark when I was swimming, got out of the water but went back in the next day.

Life is too short to give in to fear.
