The problem with the job situation is not just the bubble bursting, but the moving of pre-bubble jobs out of the country. It's not that people are going back to their pre-bubble jobs at lower wages, but that they're going to other service-oriented jobs because of the loss of better paying tech/manufacturing jobs to China, India, Mexico, etc.

As the debt load increases to 20-25+% of the budget, we start a trend that is familiar to those who've got into trouble with credit cards. Until we rein in our spending, we're heading in that direction. The trend is what is alarming. Clinton's economic trend was outstanding, and Bush's is alarming.

Kerry won't pull troops out immediately, to the chagrin of the left wing.

Nor is Kerry a 'vegan tree hugger'. He'll bring us back to a moderate balance between destroying the environment and ignoring economic reality.
