-The outsourcing of jobs is just a step in the economic evolution which will lift the living standards in other countries, thereby creating a greater market to which we can export goods. Corporations are already beginning to understand the consequences of too much foreign outsourcing.

-I understand the concept of leverage ratios very well. I was asking for the economic rational behind your 20-25% figure. Or was that just a "finger in the wind" guess. Consumer debt, imho, is a much larger potential disaster than gov't debt at the moment.

Kerry recent statement that he would like to reduce American troops in Iraq worries me a bit. If he can succeed in coalition building where Bush has failed, then perhaps those troops can be replaced (and then some) by troops from our allies. However, I believe calling for a reduction in American forces in Iraq at this point in time is premature. The war was a mistake, imo, but even worse would be to screw things up further by leaving a power vacuum.

-I know kerry isn't a tree hugger. In this regard, I find little cause to side with the Bush camp.
