PA: "now a lost cause for him" .......... .......... I'm not sure Pennsylvania's a lost cause for Bush. It's amazing how much time he spends there, though. An underemphasized point is that the Heinz family is huge in Pennsylvania. Teresa is extremely dignified there. I'll put my money on Kerry in Pennsylvania. Ohio is huge! I still say it's the bellwether. No Republican in god-knows-when has won the White House without it. I'll be surprised to see Kerry take Florida. That would be wonderful. Missouri could very well go for Kerry. West Virginia too. But Arizona? I doubt it. "It's a beautiful day" here in Chicago. Illinois is sending some major electoral votes to our man. I leave soon for Pittsburgh, where I grew up, to visit my parents and talk gently to them that we need some sanity. I can't believe in their elder years that they've been voting Republican. I might even have to see if I can registered in Pittsburgh <ggg>. /john
