36% of African-American voters have a family member in the military, much higher than any other ethnic group. Sometimes Bushies forget that. And about 90% of blacks will be voting for Kerry plus about 70% of Hispanics.

If you go to any military base these days you'll be amazed at hoiw relatively few white people there are anymore. You will often find entire platoons of men and women of color.

Also military families are low income and would do better under Kerry than Bush vis a vis health care and education. Vietnam Vets have got to be wowed by Kerry unless they are of the rightwing persuasion, but most vets I know have very mixed feelings about whether or not that war was justified.

Kerry's Band Of Brothers and twelve top Generals will be out campaigning for him. They make an impact. Max Cleland and Wes Clark are very popular with military voters. They know who's really on their side.
