I didn't lie. I didn't authorize a pathetic invasion. But since you asked "what now": here is a start: 1) Admit to the world that invading Iraq was a mistake. 2) Get out of Iraq -- phase one, stop patrolling Iraq. Phase two: pullout of Iraq completely. 3) Shift the focus on the two most serious threats: nuclear weapons and al Qaida. 4) Secure nuclear materials worldwide. Quadruple the budget for nuclear security. 5) Deal with would-be nuclear powers -- Iran, and de facto nuclear powers -- North Korea. Iran needs to know we are not going to stick around and North Korea needs to know that they have a choice between economic aid with a non-aggression pact or war. 6) Finish the job in Afghanistan -- stabilize the country and pursue al Qaida with full force. 7) Repudiate the Bush doctrine.
