re: Separate from Fica, the govt needs to create a "10% of your income is forced retirement savings", where this money is put into people's brokerage accounts (like an IRA), not the govt's hands. I was preaching, just this past Friday to some young folks I work with the old mantra "pay yourself first". If everybody put away that 10%, there would be few problems retirement. But I'm not sure you could make it law. WTF???? This is EXACTLY what Bush tried to do, except he wasn't making it ANOTHER TAX IN ADDITION TO FICA, and the LEFT wouldn't go along!!! LMAO. You people are are so damned clueless it isn't even funny. Geez, you guys are un-believable.
