Mephisto, I mostly listened to commentary & analysis after all the speeches rather than the actual speech; however, I did tune in while Edwards was speaking & it sounded like the stump speech we heard so many times during the primaries, so I moved on. Did hear Kerry speak for last 5 min & noticed that his usually pallid face glistened with perspiration...evidently the pressure got to him.

Many commentators have pointed out how subdued John Edwards acts at most rallies. They speculate that Kerry handlers have deliberately tried to diminish JE's sunshine so the the comparison with Kerry's somber demeanor won't be so striking.
