Bush was a very corrupt and hardly-working Texas governor who lied about his accomplishments there in 2000. You should read "The Dirty Truth" a book full of raw data detailing Bush's huge cash-for-trash Enron (and other) money in exchange for pollution rights and other special deals, always putting big corporations over people and the environment. Bush only got nominated because he had all that money behind him. He was actually a poor and dishonest governor with one of the worst education records in the country, #48 on many key issues like drop-out rate, teen crime, teacher's pay etc. Also near the bottom on health care and dead last on environment. Under Bush, Texas became the country's most polluted state.
