One commentator said it was hot in the hall so that is why there was perspiration on Kerry's face.
Kerry's speech was also longer than others. I heard his speech lasted 46 minutes.

John Edwards was upbeat after Kerry's speech. He was on the stage clapping, smiling and
occasionally picking up one of his kids. I've only seen Edwards give one speech and that
was the one at the convention. Commentators said that he spoke quickly, but he had
to speak against the clock and the audience interrupted him often with cheers and applause.

Edwards is on his own in the south so maybe the evening news will cover a bit of his speech,
and we can decide for ourselves if he is upbeat.
