Condi Rice is a poor security advisor who blew it before 9-11 and again on Iraq. Rice would never have even been considered for that job if it weren't for her race and gender and everyone knows it. She had almost zero experience in the military-security field. Bushies were hoping she'd help them with the black vote but she didn't and never will.

Powell is fine but much more moderate than Bush and often at odds with the real powerbrokers Cheney, Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld. He realizes he's been used for the color of his skin. He'd be much more at home in a DEmocratic administration but is now tarnished by too many lies he told on Bush's behalf.

Kerry's campaign is very minority friendly and some of his closest advisors are Hispanic and black. I've been to Kerry VIP fundraisers where the audience is mostly black and they are very-very supportive. They don't considered themselves second class citizens or tokens in the DEm party, they know they are amongst the leaders and most important contributors.

Blacks and Hispanics are not fooled by Condi Rice. What's much more important to blacks than Condi is what the Bush administration does on the issues they care about most. For 90% of blacks that means Bush-Cheney is for rich white people only. Look at Bush's fundraisers and you'll see the real face of the GOP, almost all rich white guys with short haircuts.
