With the Afghan war, we opened up one front on the war against terrorism. If if Saddam was a looming threat for us, I am sure any student of military science will agree that you do not open up a second war front without closing the first one, especially when the opening of the second front is of our choosing. I have no doubt that the military experts in the Pentagon advised the White House against the timing of the Iraq adventure. But the civilians in the White House with no military experience (Rummy, Wolfy etc.) ignored that advice. And Bush would not know any better in this feau between his White house political buddies and his generals. So they opened up the second front in Iraq and thereby provided a breather to the fleeing enemy in Afghanistan.

You also speak og Gaddafi. Allow me to ask you this. If Bush was beating the shit out of Osama and his men in the mountains of Tora Bora and broke the backs of the most revered (by Gadaffi and Saddam)terrorists in OBL and AQ, you think Bush could not have scared them. Bush progress against the AQ would have sent chills down the spine of these two dictators.

But unfortunately. Bush and his inner circle of advisors have no military experience. Hence they chose to ignore the Pentagon and go their own ways and landed this country in a state of disaster. And remember, <font color>you can never usher in a democracy in a Muslim country. They are ruled by the Shariat and not by the people. <font color=black>It is like having the US ruled by the letter of the Bible.
