Attempting to cover up a felony is a felony. If boinking an intern was sufficient reason to put Clinton in the dock, obstructing the investigation of a burglary has to be enough to put Nixon there.

Either that or only partisan "justice" is "justice" and I for one won't accept that.

He also tried to get the IRS to audit his political enemies. That is illegal and an abuse of power.

Look, even NEWSMAX admits this as part of slamming Clinton:
Nixon's IRS commissioner told him to take a hike when he demanded that his enemies be audited.

Maybe the Commissioner refused, but from that statement Nixon clearly made the demand.

It was that discovery that was the tipping point. That got him impeached and swayed enough Senators that he would have been convicted had he not resigned.

How about
"I want to be sure he is a ruthless son of a bitch, that he will do what he's told, that every income tax return I want to see I see, that he will go after our enemies and not go after our friends." That's how former President Richard Nixon described his ideal commissioner of Internal Revenue to top aides Bob Haldeman and John Ehrilchman on May 13, 1971.

He may have been our SOB, but he was still an SOB.

Come on, guys. There ain't no "Saint Nixon".
