Stratasys Surpasses 2003 Dimension 3D Printer Shipments in First Seven Months of 2004

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug 2, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Stratasys, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSYS)
announced today it has shipped more Dimension 3D Printers in the first seven
months of 2004 than it did during all of 2003. The explosive growth is being
driven by the Dimension 3D Printing Group, a business unit of Stratasys, and is
a result of continued demand from end users in multiple industries for low-cost,
desktop 3D printers.

Stratasys' Dimension BST(TM) and Dimension SST(TM) systems both experienced
increased sales in the first half of 2004, providing users industry-leading
pricing and operational convenience. Stratasys' worldwide network of resellers
continues to help the company expand the 3D printing marketplace, securing sales
in new vertical industries including education, architecture, consumer products
and packaging, and industrial design.

"We are excited to reach this significant sales milestone this early in the
year," said Scott Crump, chairman and chief executive officer of Stratasys.
"There is substantial demand among designers in multiple industries for an easy,
office-friendly way to produce 3D models. This trend is especially true within
the education market, where we have experienced tremendous growth. We are
meeting that demand by providing affordable, desktop 3D printers that enable
true, hands-free operation and produce durable 3D prints."

The Dimension SST includes all of the functionality of Dimension BST - which
sells for $24,900 - and also incorporates an automated soluble support removal
system, which gives users greater convenience in the design process by reducing
engineering time and enabling the development of prototypes with more complex
design geometries. The Dimension SST sells for $34,900. Some of the Dimension
SST and Dimension BST systems sold during the first seven months of 2004 will be
used by Dimension resellers for demonstration purposes.
