Being on the fence is not new to me but my flirtation with voting for kerry is. My views are all over the map. I tend to be a social conservative personally but buy into the libetarian view as others lead their lives in other ways. On economics i am a supply sider and kerrys tax policy worries me if it were to kill this weak fledgling recovery. But the real issue for me this time is fp and security. Will kerry protect and defend this country the way he did his unit or will he swamp us with liberal platitudes and french views and not have the stomach for the WOT, (not iraq). Bush team has failed to implement iraq and has made stupid mistakes and failed to own up. Does this disquaiify him from getting my vote. Nope but it also wont stop me from trying to look into JFK2's soul to see if he could lead. This is kennedy vs nixon redux for me in many ways. And to this day, i am not sure whether nixon would have been preferable. Kennedy was amateurish for two years leading to cuban missile crisis and a possible nuke war. Krushchev would never have screwed with tricky dick. Does kerry give al quaeda a two year window that could spell disaster? mike
