Just noodled around a bit in the National Institute for Health (NIH) database, more than nine thousand research articles on acupuncture. If it's bogus, I wonder why so many millions of research dollars are being advanced? The speculation is that the needles release neuropeptides, the best known of which is Substance P, which if you are interested in medicine, you've already heard about. Ordinarly I'd link the NIH database to you as a favor, but expect that you already have it bookmarked . . . .
