Sometimes people can't see something about themselves that is obvious to everyone else.
And other times, like this one, a few people such as yourself, get an idea that they think is obvious to everyone else but which is really a bunch of nonsense.

Accordingly, Abu Ghraib, Gitmo and Afghanistan happened under Bush, not Clinton or Bush I. Bush made a pre emptive strike against Iraq.......Hitler used similar tactics. Hitler favored a rather small group of Germans; Bush's policies favor a rather small group of Americans. Hitler ascended to power under questionable circumstances; so did Bush. Hitler complained that Germany had been treated poorly by other countries and appealed to German nationalism; Bush has made similar comments and appealed to American nationalism.
Are Hitler and Bush the same people? No. Of course not. Are there enough similarities to be unsettling? Yes.
And don't come back with some half baked denial. After all, it was the Bushies that were talking about suspending elections this year. That should give you a clue into their mindset but then, if you don't want to see something, you won't see it........particularly if its the GOP's dark underbelly!
Maybe.......but the GOP has many similar traits.
Stalin and Gandhi both had many similar traits. They both where human, both male, both leaders, both had two eyes, both are now dead.
Oh yes, lets take it down to the level of ridiculous. Its a very convenient way to make a serious subject go away.
I>BS. You don't know what fringe Republicans believe. You are naive if you think there are no Republicans who belong to Aryan Nations or the Klan.
Anyone can register as Republican or Democrat. But the Aryan Nation types or the Klansmen are not a fringe of the Republican party. There just fringe and some of them happen to register as Republicans, but not all of them do and they don't respresent even a more extreme version of any part of the GOP's platform. Some of them are Democrats or members of minor third parties but its not reasonably to tar the GOP or the Dems or the Reform Party as being connected to the Klan.
If someone in the Klan or Aryan Nation belongs to any party, its the GOP. To think otherwise is to be kidding yourself.
