I don't think her language was first-ladyish, but I wouldn't have called it "foul," which is why I asked. We hear so much worse nowadays.

FWIW, I decided about ten years ago to clean up my language. I determined that I wasn't proud of it and that that just wasn't the image I wanted to project. Once I made the commitment it only took about three days to banish it. I was surprised at how easy it was.

Of course, hyperbolically comparing some condition to "hell" wouldn't qualify as inappropriate language in any venue in my book. Used as an interjection, however, it would. <g>
