These people are barbarians. They have been fighting each other for centuries--tribes religions sects. I really dont much care anymore. This is getting to be a vietnam cya situation for this admin. Lose more good men and women to save these fools. We should declare victory, call them wmd free, blame saddam for suckering us in by not admitting to not having wmds and pull out. Cut a deal with the south and iran and let them defend themselves if the sunnis run amuck. Same with the kurds in the north who can certainly take care of themselves. Let the Turks know the extent of what they will lose if they opt for an adventure in kurdistan and bring our troops home on a scheduled basis. There is no iraqi govt or military or police that can successfully beat back the terrorists and baathists. Only way we can do it is to bomb them back to the stone age as curtis le may once said. This situation is vietnam all over again in the triangle but worse. At least there was a SV govt and military. Here nothing exists excpet a figment of rumsfelds imagination. Bush should announce this plan to end the war and then Kerry will have to flip flop back in full view of the nation. Mike
