Hi Olga,

I see we have not heard from you for a few days. I hope you got some help from the co. support link.

Just happened to read the last page of that link on SK43G problems (OMG! Didn't realize it was seven pages long).

However, I just notice this simple solution.

Thanks for your posts on this topic, this has been really frustrating to figure out this problem. I would have have random restarts, but often when I was running certain programs. I would have random restarts with Dvd Shrink most frequently, and often when I was playing videos. One of the restarts caused my ntfs.sys file to become corrputed which was another headache to fix using Knoppix to fix. I was convinced it was the memory (Geil Value Series 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200), and I was about to buy a different stick. Then I changed the fsb to 133, and suddenly no more random restarts. Thanks for your help on this!!!!!

Not an ideal solution, but one to get things back on track stability wise... if you still have the system.

A year or so ago I had some MB (unrelated) problems on an older system. It took a while before I realized if I dumped the sound card and used the on board audio chip, everything ran fine. So, I know the feeling-ng-. The reflash of the BIOS went wrong too, fortunately I had another BIOS chip and switched, and finally got the problem solved.

best of luck.
