I'm starting to think that Republicans are so embarassed by Bush and their support of him that they have to stand behind him no matter what. Otherwise, they'd have to face their own failure to see through the schmuck.

They can't admit that they were wrong and support booting the mentally unstable schmo out. If Bush ran screaming down the street without his clothes and barking like a dog, the Republicans would still support him.
