then I think that you will find nothing but exaggerations, hyperbole, distortions and one might call them lies...Cheney,Powell,Bush,Rumsfeld ETC.

Suma, if they were lying and exaggerating about Saddam's WMDs, surely there was one government telling the "truth"? How come France, Germany, Egypt, Saudi Arabia all tried to stop the war, yet all agreed with the assessment of WMDs? Tommy Franks said Mubarak looked him in the eye and said, "you know, Saddam will use chemical and biological weapons on you".

To my mind, it's still very much an open question what happened to the stuff, even if we just stick to wondering about the stuff that we know for sure used to exist. Saddam was extremely secretive and loved to bury things in the desert (like 80 Soviet Migs). The Iraqi papers are full of rumors of bunkers on the Syrian border. If you wanted to bet on an October surprise, my bet would be for a full report of just what has been dug up over there.

As for Fisk, how many times does a reporter need to be proved a liar before you disbelieve him? He was nowhere near the scene, but the wild Palestinian rumors and outright lies fit his anti-Israel agenda, and he was happy to repeat them.
