A Nam Vet lives in each of those homes. Unlike Kerry, they are not asking for hero status Through my time in the service and afterwards I've talked with many, many vets. I have never in my life before JFK seen a hero want to be labeled as such. In fact in my experience the harder the combat the person saw the less they want to discuss it. REMF's are the only folks I've ever seen carry on about their service. Kerry put this 4 month period of time on the front burner and I have little doubt he is going to wish to hell he had not.
