Cisco,

Wars are almost always fought for reasons that are financial or political. Emotional justification is needed so that young men will have a cause for which to die. You saw it in the Gulf War.....you did not see it in Viet Nam.

The emotional cry here is freedom of speech......But that won't be what the lawsuits will be about. This will be about money. This will be about violating the law. I don't know who has what to hide in this deal. I find it hard to believe that Westergaard has been operating in an illegal fashion for so many years. I don't think he is that stupid. I do not know about Pluvia, but I don't believe that he is stupid either. He seems to be getting some support. I noticed the new Westerfraud website that seems to be set up by a guy who is using a different name.....Fantastic. Fight fire with fire? I did not leave my E-Mail address there because I'm afraid I will be solicited for money.

If lawyers get involved here....there goes your open forum. Lawyers from both sides will shut their clients down or write all of their statements for them. Look for the posturing and backtracking. It will be a shame. We can start a brand new thead............." Lawyers are taking away our fun ".......Can you imagine the jokes we would see ont hat thread? And more irony......Free speech lawyers put a lid on speaking freely....he he he.

I would think that if this moves to the lawsuit phase, Pluvia will have no choice but to disclose what he has been up to and who he is. I don't think you can be anonymous and still use the legal system. It will be interesting to see if that happens. If Pluvia turns out to be in violation of SEC regulations....then it might not be a good case to test internet privacy/free speech law.

It will be fun to see what happens....The slaming of Westergaard brings a new twist. I must give it some thought. I do know that most of the people here have no idea who Westergaard is.....or what he believes or what he does. I have followed his site for quite a while. I own two stocks that he has commented on.....He does not put out Buys or Sells...He is not an analyst like you have at Merrill or Lehman.

Although this may be hard for folks here to accept.....He printed negative comments on a small bio-tech company that I own....And Westergaard covers....I was pissed. Hell...they cover the darn stock. I e-mailled a terse note to Westergaard Online......The response I got back was " sorry, thats the way we see it " I was amazed then and still am. I think they were, and still are, dead wrong about this company...and I think they will find this out very soon.....but that is besides the point. The point is that people don't want to do their homework. They want a quick fix....Read the posts here and quickly decide that Westergaard is Big Brother RatMan......And it just aint so, folks.

He may be Andy Rooney, Lois Rukiser, and P.T. Barnum all rolled into one....but he is not Big Brother RatMan. The only way to find this out, is to do the homework.......and try to be objective........a tough assignment for most on this thread.
