I do not know what points you think you are making. Square with what? It is simply true that we limit experimentation on human beings.

The third leading cause of death in the US is Iatrogenic.

Induced in a patient by a physician's activity, manner, or therapy.

experimentation
n 1: the testing of an idea; "it was an experiment in living"; "not all experimentation is done in laboratories" [syn: experiment] 2: the act of conducting a controlled test or investigation [syn: experiment]

You may want to re-examine your assumptions, wrt the facts on the ground. Deaths, resulting directly from the system ie - systemic problem. If you are going to call this science, then in too many cases I am going to have to call it an experiment. Just because someone is getting a treatment doesn't mean that the care givers know what they are doing or that it is solid science. Will agree to disagree at this point. drugintel.com

Your comment about Descartes doesn't make much sense to me.

Since we were talking of Reality, how do you propose that Descartes would have pointed to his pineal gland. Due to the context of the enquiry, pointing to one from a cadaver wouldn't cut it. He would not have survived any procedure to remove part or all of it in those days, and dead bodies don't point to things. If by some miracle he did survive, how could he do so without this thing he called "I". Today modern science will chop it if tumorous, so I assert he was wrong on this point.
