cirrus. All very good points.

You said...." End terrorism? No. But I do believe it would give pause to terrorist leaders and nations that would harbor them.".....

There are a number of islam leaders that have called for change within islam since 9/11. IMO change would not be sought if American power were not being used against islam terror.

You said....." At this point Osama is a charismatic leader who can rally hundreds to his cause. If he were out of the picture, the propaganda machine would slow down."....

That's a really good point. I wonder, I really wonder if that is what would occur or would the fanatical part of islam be so enraged that islam terrorists attacks would increase. If bin laden were captured and in American hands what would be the reaction from the world of islam?

You said...." Finally, the Israeli/Palestinian issue must be resolved. As President Carter said at the DNC, Bush is the first American President in 50 years not to make a serious attempt to find common ground between the Israelis and Palestinians. ".....

Change is occurring within the palestinian people....actual protests against arafat....openly asking arafat to give up power..... I know it's the in thing to blame Bush for just about everything but what I see is change for the better starting in palestinian lands.
