OT: Good charts Gottfried. I see an inverse relationship between falling oil prices and a rising stock market on your charts. It's fairly obvious that it is possible for the market to trade higher, or lower, as oil prices rise. Then perhaps the only obvious correlation I see is that the stock market did rise in the past as oil prices fell but was this cause and effect?

I think the talking heads are overly preoccupied with oil prices as the cause of the day for the market to rise or fall.
