Williams Continue with Pizzonia, Drop the Nose
Thursday August 5th, 2004
Williams test driver Antonio Pizzonia will race in the Hungarian Grand Prix, again replacing Ralf Schumacher, the team said today.
The team also said, in a preview press release, that aerodynamic modifications scheduled for the Budapest race will include a return to the traditional nose, abandoning the radical "walrus" shaped nose introduced by the team at the beginning of the season.
"The team will present its cars in Hungary with some aero modifications, including a return to a more conventional nose and front wing solution," team chief Frank Williams tated.
"Sadly, we have been informed by Ralf's management that he will be unable to participate in either this race in Hungary, or two weeks later in Belgium. In the meantime, the team is nominating its reserve driver, Antonio Pizzonia, to replace him." |
