What you seem to suggest is that ASML step and scanner is more flexible for variety of products or customers. Isn't this a great feature for the semiconductor companies ? Granted for high volume production of single product(s), the flexibility may not be so important, but as product differentiation becomes important and new products has shorter life cycle....
