RE: per minute cost of Iridium vs. Globalstar. I always enjoy your posts, Mr. A. For what its worth, I have worked and continue to work as as a consultant/trainer to a lot of pretty big corporations(Freddie Mac, MCI, Con Edison, First Union etc.) and concur with your assessment that cost WILL be carefully looked at by corporate decision makers. On the other hand, I wonder whether the big disparity between IRIDF and G* will remain. Didn't I just read that IRIDF's new estimates were $1.75 per minute or something like that? If so, $1.75 is a hell of a difference from $3.00 a minute. If the numbers are changing this rapidly, this far out, who knows what the gap will be in a few years? Incidentally, the aforementioned $1.75 is from the ol' memory bank so don't take it as fact without confirmation from a better source than I.
