All part of the program by Republicans. If there's one thing the U.S. is good at, it's getting ourselves involved in wars. Is that by mistake? I think not. It's a deliberate plan that serves many grand Republican purposes. First, it provides a justification for endlessly feeding the war machine government money. Second, it allows them to control the world's most precious resources like oil. Third, it keeps the American people focused on fear and militarism, instead of being focused on improving their lot in life in America. I'm sure there are other deliberate reasons for our blatant militarism.

It is funny, as you said, our election could have a profound impact on war and peace in the coming four years. Just think, if Bush had lost in 2000, there'd be no war with Iraq, some argue that 9/11 would have been prevented by people actually interested in preventing it. The world would probably be a safer more peaceful place without the conspirators, oil cablistist and war mongers in control. Kerry might not be a dove, he is a war criminal from Viet Nam, but who wasn't in Viet Nam? But, I can't imagine Kerry's policies being any worse than Bush's blatantly miliaristic and regressive policies. Things can't get any worse for America than Bush.
