you of course are entitled to you opinion, nay deserving of it having served long and well in the military

I disagree with it, for two reasons

kerry made it an issue open for discussion when he accepted his nomination with 'reporting for duty' - he did that so he can swing votes away from Bush by a rather theatrical ploy to show he can lead American in war, being a medal'd military man himself - that opens the door to questions of that service - the book opens further questions

was he over there to serve or to get medals?

did he get the medals dishonestly or questionably?

'dishonestly or questionably' leads to point number 2 and goes to the fitness and character of a man who wants to become president - important points, at least to me, for a person who wants to lead and again serve this country in it's highest post

as for Bush's military records, I think they too should be an open book for all to see

it speaks to at least what kind of men they were back then - we can decide what they've evolved into

for me? how they've served their country in the past is a public and relevant issue as to how you judge they will serve in the future

but that is me

also? the book, 'Unfit For Command' looks like it will carry much more weight than 'F 9/11', a pure entertainment piece

ps - I'm still writing Jesse Ventura's name in my ballot
