Ted, This is grim.........much worse then anyone expected. I actually will sell all stocks between now and the next rally. I suspect we are going back into recession. Looks like Kerry now stands a good chance of winning ... unfortunately for him. Anyway, I'm kind of glad I've been out of the market for months now, except for one or two small speculative shots that missed. Until the past two weeks, I've been up 25% for the year......of course, today destroys that number handily. I have to sell smart to protect that profit......it will be difficult. Just three more months before the election, so the Fed already ran out of chances to prop up this market. Then again, wasn't it the Fed who raised interest rates earlier this year for the first time in a while? Yup......they were supposed to raise again next week but I don't think that will happen. Early this spring, it looked like things were improving......that's why they raised. Even then, however, I wondered how could things be improving with everything built on a house of cards. ted
