Hi Joe,

From an article I found on Techweb. Computer Reseller News Aug. 25 the last paragraph reads:

<Juang acknowledged that he currently ships more Novell NetWare servers than Windows NT Servers, but despite NetWare's generally lower profit, his margins and those of his resellers are healthy.>

In my opinion as a person who spent 20 years in sales this explains NT's growth more than any other factor. I've seen companies take the worst dog in their inventories and rather than mark them down for clearance offer an extra commission incentive. You wouldn't believe how fast those dogs moved! If commission is equal the salesman will generally push the features of the better product.

My experience with computers is pretty much limited to tring to figure out why Windows 95 crashes on my PC for no reason. So it's hard for me to understand why anyone would buy Microsoft if they didn't have to.

Regards,

Don
