well, I'd say that is pretty poor record then. You say that we are cutting demand, your info disputes that, and as a whole, demand is way up from the 70's. This country has done zero since the oil embargo's of the 70's to get ourselves unhooked from our addiction to cheap oil. It is a national disgrace. No party is responsible, Dems & Repubs alike can share this disgrace, there is plenty for all. It is time to decide to help lead the world to alternative fuels. What is the answer? I haven't a clue, but we best be lookin'. In the mean time, we could have a fleet of vehicles that use half the fuel they do now, easily.
