Bush killed research money for fuel efficiency a couple of years back. Having oil boys in power is not helping us to develop a new energy strategy. Sure, there will always be oil for those that can afford it, but will it be enough to supply the world economy which is so heavily dependent on cheap oil? No way. Majors changes in lifestyle will be required. It is time to suck it up, and do all we can to improve efficiency and alternative sources.
