Do you think bin Laden could have pushed US more towards the authoritarian model than Bush has done? Have you actually read and thought about the abuses of the laws that Bush has passed under the guise of fighting terrorism. The latest one I posted here was the move to actually remove the text of Federal Statutes from public access.

Leveling the playing fields means different things to different people. You project your own prejudices into that statement.
